Staff One Gives $35,000 Safety Incentive Award to Local Business (Staff One has since been aquired by Paychex)

NASHVILLE, April 29, 2011 -- Staff One, Inc., a leading ESAC-accredited professional employer organization (PEO), recently presented a $35,000 safety award check to Hiller Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Company of Nashville for the company’s outstanding safety record during 2010.

President/Owner Jimmy Hiller accepted the check, announcing to employees, “We received this check for your efforts of working safely out there and this money belongs to all of you!” Hiller continued, “This check will be distributed back to the field employees.” Approximately 75 employees were on hand for the presentation, as well as representatives from Staff One’s Risk Management and Client Services departments.

One of Staff One’s innovative strategies is working with business owners to design a safety incentive program specifically for their company. For example, Hiller Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Company had a workers’ comp loss ratio of approximately 24 percent when they began working with Staff One in early 2009. Their loss ratio today is a mere 6 percent, entitling them to the full amount of the safety program’s cash back reward dollars.

With a dedicated Risk Management and Safety team, Staff One helps its clients reduce workers’ compensation and safety-related costs, passing on the resulting savings to program participants who minimize losses. Staff One’s on-site safety and risk management training plays a big part in reducing losses, and the Risk Management team also works with company owners and managers to ensure timely reporting of injuries.
